For the Anfoss – Norway Hydropower Plant, we developed 2 flap gates, each of them weighing over 620t and having a length of 18m and a height of 4.5m. The linearity tolerance on length was only 6 mm, so we aimed for an accuracy of 0.3 mm/m.
This remains one of the most challenging projects we have ever undertaken, in terms of the manufacturing technology, size and deadline. To put it into perspective, these were the largest flap gates developed in Norway for a hydroelectric power plant in the last 30 years.
