Rosten is an 80 MW hydropower project, located on the Gudbrandsdalslagen river in Innlandet, Norway. The particularity of this project was mainly related to its dimensions. The pipes were over 3m in diameter and some sheets were 40mm thick, with a composite length of 60m and a weight of 170tons.
Thus, the challenge was represented by the welding process. This was 100% US controlled and partially RX. We managed to successfully complete it and deliver the product in a timely fashion, according to its initial specifications.
