Throughout the years, we delivered many products for Rainpower, supplying various hydropower operations with the necessary components and equipment. For this particular project, we were tasked with manufacturing a draft tube for a Francis turbine, that involved its welding, machining and painting.
The draft tube measured 9m in length and 6.5m in diameter, with a total weight of 5.6t. For its delivery we created a transport support, in order to reduce the oversized dimensions of the piece and facilitate its shipment.
